The Isolation units department is one of the pediatric departments of “Arabkir” MC - ICAH, where about 1500-2000 children are examined and treated every year. The department works 24/7 and on the field of common pediatric diseases in children aged 1-18, also with rare diseases; acute tonsillitis, otitis media, fever of unknown origin, acute gastritis and gastroenteritis, Kawasaki disease, Vitamin D deficiency, periorbital cellulitis, rashes with fever, Marshall syndrome and other periodic fevers.

Doctor’s rounds are held daily in the department. If necessary, narrow specialists are included in the treatment process of serious patients. Clinical residents actively participate in daily work as well.

The department has been partnering with the University Hospital of Zurich for years. As a part of this partnership, our physicians participate in professional courses in Zurich regularly, our foreign colleagues visit “Arabkir” MC, have joint discussions and rounds, online conferences and discussion of serious cases. The physicians of the department have participated in a number of international conferences and professional training courses in large foreign pediatric clinics, which allows us to introduce international experience in the RA and keep up with the times.

The principle underlying the work of this department is quality and accessible medical care for every child.
