Diagnostic tests

The center has modern equipment for hearing impairment diagnostics:

Otoacoustic Emission Machine measures external hair cell function. The OAE is used for screening and in comprehensive audiological examination with other tests.
Impedancemetry is used to detect middle ear problems.
Clinical audiometer allows to perform multiple tests for complete diagnosis of hearing impairments, and to determine the type and stage of hearing loss.
The Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA) relies on behavioral conditioning to train very young kids to respond to sounds and It is designed for children aged 6 months to around 2 to 3 years old.
The auditory steady-state response (ASSR) device records the activity of the auditory nerve and different parts of the brain to auditory stimuli. ASSR allows to determine the type and stage of hearing loss.
